My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Dash! I’m a 2 yr old, red smooth standard boy! Foster momma has lots to say about me so I am just going to let her tell you all about me:

Dash is a happy boy! He wiggles, giggles and wags his tail when he is with his foster family. He gets along well with other dogs big and small but asks that they be respectful of his personal space! Presently he is on a fitness and diet plan as the dude could stand to lose a few pounds!  He also loves to be outside and run around and doesn't seem to mind the cold weather either! Dash is nearly completely housetrained but may have the occasional piddle if he thinks he is in trouble or gets scared. Dash does lack a bit of confidence and will hide if humans use loud voices but with hard work and patience this will improve. He loves the phrase 'good boy'! Dash is crate trained, although he will quietly whimper for a few minutes at bedtime then goes to sleep. Of course he’d rather be in bed with his family! He likes to eat is meals in his crate and shows no food aggression but is extremely food motivated. Dash LOVES car rides. He will bark at the doorbell but quiets eventually with encouragement. He also will bark at strangers so introductions will need to be done on his own time. Dash is very protective of his family, and very loyal! He’s comfortable with men, woman and children that are respectful to dogs. He knows basic commands, walks assertively on a leash but again will bark at people going by; this will need some work! An active family would be ideal as he could become a couch potato/lounge lizard too easily!
