My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors.  She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training.

Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through.  She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). Adopters are often turned off by the fact that she will require multiple meets to learn its ok to trust you. Will anybody take the time to love Lucy..?

If you’d be interested in meeting Lucy, please fill out an application and be sure to mention her name!
