My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is 3 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He came from a litter of pups whose mother was hit by a car and killed. The rest of the litter had classic Aussie markings, Black and Tan, Merle, and Tri-color. Bear's color is called "Common Black" Australian Shepherd but there's nothing common about him. He is smart, loving and playful and really wants to be a lap dog. He did well in the Kennel Club obedience class but we have not had the time to devote to keeping him current or furthering his training. Also, it is difficult to take him to classes, or anywhere, because he gets car sick. Bear would not do well as an only dog as he is very social and really needs a buddy that will play with him. He prefers to spend most of his time outside in a large, fenced area where he can run. He is high energy and can be a little pushy when he needs to burn some of it off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, house trained and leash trained, will crate but does not tolerate it well. Bear does well with dogs, cats and children but needs time to get acquainted. Our adoption fee is $125.00 and we have an application process to insure that Bear is a good fit for your family. Please let us know if you want to meet this beautiful boy!
