Hi I'm Fritzi! One thing you can be sure of: I will never bite you - because I have no teeth! Other than that, I'm a healthy kitty. My dream job would be librarian, because I like quiet places, and I'm a big reader. I'm sorry did I say reader? I meant eater. (Wet food only, you know why.) I keep getting overlooked because it takes me a while to warm up to new people. But give me a little time, and I'll be your new best friend. I have become pretty bonded to Sammy here at the shelter. He was my first real kitty friend here at the shelter and we spend all of our time together cuddling.

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application be filled out (can be done online or in person). Allow 3 business days to process. Contact the shelter to check on status of application if you do not hear from us in 3 days. Upon approval, fees are $85 for a cat and $150-$250 for a dog. This includes vaccinations and altering. Renters need to demonstrate approval of landlord to have pets. Home visit may be done at the discretion of the shelter. Our adoption contract specifies adopters must comply with local animal ordinances and have current pets neutered if not already done. Animals must be returned to us if owner is no longer able to care for them

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 11am to 4:30 pm. Please call and make an appointment, as we usually only have 1-2 staff members at the shelter at a time.

More about this shelter

We are a private non-profit limited intake no kill shelter that has been serving the county since 1978. We try to take in and care for as many animals as our small shelter can handle. We are an adoption center and not to be confused with Animal Control. We cannot pick up stray animals, that has to be done by the county. Thank you and we look forward to adopting out to you!
