My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ren. My foster dad says I look at lot like Ren from Ren and Stimpy. My foster family thinks I am part boxer. I am almost a year old they think, and weigh about 30 pounds. My foster Mom says I look like Santa’s Little Helper from the Simpson’s, but with ears like Yoda. I came to their house one day, and stared at their dogs through the fence. They thought I had a home, and was just out visiting. But after a few days, they realized I wasn’t going anywhere at night. They gave me food and water and made me a very nice bed in their garage. The bed was ok, but I liked the cardboard box next to it much better. No one put up posters saying that they were missing me, and wanted me back. Mom and Dad put me all over FB, and someone recognized me. They told Mom where I lived, but when she went there, they said that they really couldn’t take care of me. Mom asked if it was ok to keep me and find me a new home. They said yes.

Mom and Dad let me come in the house once they realized that I was housebroken, they even got me my very own crate! They knew from the start that I would make a great pet for a family, so they decided to help me out. They had me fixed (I still don’t know what was broken), I got shots and was tested for parasites. Mom was so happy when the results came back that I was heart worm negative. Apparently that’s a big deal down here in Georgia.

They told me from the beginning that I was a foster dog, but they would love and care for me until just the right home came open. I get along with boy and girl dogs, big and small. I haven’t really met any cats or little humans.

I love to go on walks, (not in the rain). I am very good on a leash. I am intelligent and inquisitive, and I am learning things quickly. I come when my name is called, (most of the time). I like to ride in cars, and unlike my foster brother, I do not puke in the back of the car.

As you can see from the pictures I am rather long legged. I have very good balance, and can jump like a cat onto almost anything. We are working on me not jumping on people, or the back of the sofa.

I love Nylabones, antlers, Kongs, and anything with a squeaker. I am enthusiastic about all of my toys. I am doing very well learning the difference between shoes and toys. There was a little confusion on my part in the beginning.

Mom and Dad guess that this place is at least my third home, and I’m not quite a year old. I really crave attention. I love my belly being rubbed, and my chin being scratched. I love to snuggle on the couch and prefer to sleep with my parents. I can’t sleep with them often, because they say four dogs and two people don’t fit on a queen size bed. I share a crate a night with my big sister, because I don’t like being alone. I cry when my mom and dad are out of my sight, even if I am with my foster sisters and brother. I don’t know why. They always come back, but I am so afraid that one time they might not.

Mom says I’m very good at playing with others. I’m not aggressive. I am incredibly sweet and want to be loved. So if you have lots of energy and maybe want an Agility Dog, I could be the one for you.
