My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOU is a hunk who is impossible not love the instant you meet him. He is 1 year old but is quite the mellow guy. He is sweet and friendly with every soul he encounters. He is fabulous with other dogs big and small. He doesn't live with any cats , but did well in a quick cat test at the vet's office. LOU is great with children. He is a perfect passenger in the car and a good boy on a leash. He is quiet in his crate and knows not to potty in the house. LOU's house manners are excellent and he is quiet indoors. True to the Great Pyrenees breed, he does like to do a little talking when he goes out to potty. It certainly isn't incessant barking though. His foster mom says every single minute with LOU is a total pleasure. This fluffy boy is ready to make his forever family eternally happy!

LOU is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to Knoxville.

An adoption application for LOU can be found at: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to his adoption coordinator at weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com.

All of our dogs start their journey near Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
