My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beau is approximately 4-5 years old. He is a boxer mix (possibly mixed with American Bulldog or Rottweiler) Beau has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on all shots.

Beau loves to be outside and needs an active family to help him burn off his energy. He loves walks, hikes and playing frisbee in the backyard at his foster home. He loves to spend time with people and he has the best butt wiggle you have ever seen!

He is a big, handsome, 85lb sweetheart who loves cuddling, sleeping and sampling on a wide variety of toys throughout the day. After a morning walk he is more then happy to climb on the couch and just snooze for hours.

Beau is living with a foster brother right now and does well with most dogs. Although he enjoys the company of other dogs, he would also be quite comfortable being the only dog in the household.

Beau is not only handsome, but also very intelligent and motivated to learn. He knows to sit, lay down and roll over. He is eager to please and doing well with his training. Beau is currently working on learning new commands and overcoming some uncertainty of strangers. Slow and proper introduction to new people are key.

Beau thinks he’s a lapdog, is very sensitive and knows just the right times to melt into you and give you a hug. He needs consistency, firm rules and a daily routine in order to thrive.

Prerequisites for adopting Beau are NO CATS and NO SMALL CHILDREN. Small living spaces like condos and apartments will NOT be considered. A home with a fenced yard or a rural setting would be ideal.

Beau's adopter will need to have large breed experience, and must be confident in dealing with large, active breeds. The person must be willing to work with Beau to provide a consistent and structured routine, and daily exercise. Beau would do well with a person or family who is very active. He would be a great candidate in agility and sports.

If you think you may be the right fit for Beau, and can give him his forever home, please visit our website and fill out an adoption application today. www.benevolentbullyrescue.com/adopt/
