My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flame is a very loving 10+ year old smooth red boy who was surrendered by family members after his owner died. We rescued him from a kill shelter on New Year's Eve. He is an older gentleman who loves the company of people or other dogs of his size. He is deaf and probably has diminished sight. Flame LOVES to be cuddled and is friendly to every person he has encountered during his foster stay. He will shower anyone with kisses and affection. Flame enjoys sharing a bed with any one of are other dogs. Flame LOVES to be outdoors and enjoys his strolls and exploring around our fenced in backyard. He also is very good on a leash and loves his twice daily walks through the neighborhood. Flame is crate trained, and house broken. He now has free roam at his foster house. He does some anxiety in new situations and may have accidents. He will need a patient person to help him adjust to his furever home. He requires a house with no small children and no cats. He would enjoy a dog companion or two as long as they weren't too large or energetic for him. As an older gentleman that also likes to get his exercise, he needs lots of sleep and downtime during the day. A calm home atmosphere with a secure fenced yard. one or two mellow dog companions, and a few human laps that are home a lot would be Flame's ideal retirement home. Currently fostering in Western PA, but transport can be arranged.
