Please submit an application and do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
EINSTEIN is such a hunky monkey! He is 2 years old and holds the title of WORLD'S BEST CUDDLER! He sleeps in bed with the little boy in his foster home every night. EINSTEIN knows not to potty in the house and is good hanging out in his crate while his foster mom is at work. His foster family has never owned a dog before, yet they have no trouble with this boy. They absolutely adore him. EINSTEIN enjoys playing in the yard, but is also content to lay on the couch and watch movies all day. He loves to go on car rides and new places. He would be thrilled to accompany his forever family on all sorts of adventures. EINSTEIN has been great with both dogs and cats in testing, but he is the only pet in his current foster home. He prefers pup pals who aren't too crazy and constantly jumping in his face. He will give that lucky family a lifetime of cuddles and kisses....plus they will be able to play with his smooshy cheeks every single day. It doesn't get better than that!
EINSTEIN is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $300 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to Nashville.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
