About Edgar

BREED/COLOR: Neutered Russian Blue X / Has tufts like a Lynx on the tops of his ears.
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful Animal !!!!

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active/Loves to run through the house, play with kitty toys, sleeps very little. Would make an awesome play buddy for another cat!
HISTORY: Came in as stray with siblings at 5 months old. Little human contact before coming to Last Hope. He did require some taming initially but is as sweet as pie now. He is wonderful with people and environments that are familiar to him.
PERSONALITY: Edgar is a lovable hunk of a boy! Edgar is affectionate, sweet, playful, and gentle. He knows how to give high fives on command(shown in the video). He is super intelligent! He likes sit on his foster Mom's lap for short amounts of time(shown in the video). Very playful and entertaining. Such a beautiful boy who is wonderfully as sweet as he is charming! A very good Boy!
LIKES: Feather wand playtime with you. Petting and affection. Loves food! Likes familiar people and routine. Absolutely awesome with other cats! He is very sweet and gentle with other furry friends just like he is with humans. He plays nice with other cats.
He has a very endearing way of laying stretched out on the floor on his belly with his hind legs stretched out completely backward straight out behind him(shown in his video). No idea how his legs even bend that way but apparently he thinks it is very comfortable! He thinks the computer screen is the coolest invention ever!
DISLIKES: Grabby, overbearing, or forceful humans. He will not tolerate being hauled around or picked up. Lots of chaos and commotion and new places and new people. He does become rather nervous in new situations. True to the Russian Blue breed Edgar thrives in familiarity. Would be best suited to an adult home. Due to Edgar's previous lack of experience with humans he doesn't show well to adopters/strangers as he is shy and distrustful of them. However, he is bonded wonderfully with his foster family and is an amazing, beautiful, loveable hunk once you prove to him you are trustworthy. Totally worth earning his trust as he is an truly exceptional animal once you do! Trust me....he is AMAZINGLY, AMAZINGLY beautiful!!!
MY PERFECT FAMILY: A quiet adult home as an only pet or home with or without other felines. Someone who wants a sweet, gentle, easy going yet active, absolutely gorgeous large Russian Blue Boy . 13 pounds of gorgeous cat and still growing. A gentle kind and patient owner willing to show him they are trustworthy and introduce him very slowly to them and their home once they adopt him. People that understand when they come to meet him that he doesn't kiss up to strangers but will be a lovable sweetheart once he settles in and gets to know you a bit more. A home with less foot traffic would be preferred and less stressful for Edgar.

Edgar will not be attending adoption events but is available to visit anytime in his Eagan foster home. Edgar is currently in a foster home that only fosters 1 cat at a time and has no pets of their own so he is spoiled rotten; therefore he is guaranteed healthy, absolutely litter box reliable, and we know his personality inside and out. Truly a once in a lifetime gem!
