My name is Rigby and at the age of 10 years old my partner Eleanor and I were abandoned at a north shore pound. One of the CAA Rescue volunteers on a Sunday night saw the posting about us and she just knew she had to try and help. Thankfully may other volunteers stepped in to help donate their time, money and transport skills so that the following day we joined CAA in rescue together
I am really quite outgoing and adventurous. I have a lot more spunk than Eleanor does! I am always walking around and checking out what is going on and who is doing what, where and when! I have an especially fun nature about me that has my foster mama laughing at me all the time!
I can run to Eleanor for comfort if I get a little nervous or especially if I am tired. But I do love to help (just not as much as her) and absolutely love the gentle hands of a kind pet! Ohhhhhhhhhhh I would just sit there all day beside you if you would just pet me softly!
Yes I am doing my business in the home in foster care right now; we will see what the weather change brings me and my house training. I may also just be really confused with all these changes in my life so you will have to be patient with me because as an old lady no matter what I will have accidents in the home. I do go outside though and have done my business there so I think my foster mama just has to figure out my schedule and get me on a routine.
& while everyone says I am 10 years old I am by no means an old guy! You will see what I mean when you meet me and Eleanor – there is a big difference.
I get along just fine with the other dogs and cats in foster care… happy to be following them around or puppylaxing with El!
I do like my comfy bed and blankie while my foster mom is at work and just sleep quietly all day waiting for her return
I have to lose weight to be in better shape because my blood test revealed that I am borderline for diabetes. At this time I am ok but foster mom is on the case, reducing my food intake and offering me much healthier snacks. I really prefer the junk food so much more but my tiny legs cannot reach the cupboard where the chips are hiding!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
I am looking for a quiet retirement home where I can be loved for all my days, where I will be a little spoiled and a lot pampered. Someone who will want me as company while they garden or go for a walk
I am really just a very happy boy always smiling with not one ounce of meanness or aggression in my bones.

A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and adoption fee is waived for Eleanor.
