My story

Hey Everyone, I am Skelley.

My brothers and I had quite an adventure when we were younger. Not a good one at that! You see we were all brought to the cat sanctuary from an over run kitten area.

I am about 6.5 years old and a beautiful loving female tiger. It wasn't always this way as we were very hesitant to trust humans. But now if you sit down or approach me slowly, I will come up to you and want all the petting you can give me.

I am so ready to find my own home. I have been spayed, given vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV, you name it - I am ready to go! It would be great if you had another cat or two in your household for me to play with and adjust to what people call a home.

I would prefer a home without children or dogs, but other cats would be great!

My brothers Batty and Hocus Pocus are also great boys and if you have room for them as well that would be awesome.

So, please come see me at the cat sanctuary as you can tell who I am by the light tan mark on my tiger head - my name is Skelley!

Why adoption is a great option

Skelley, a Ashland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
