Hi there! My name is Ali, nice to meetcha. The last few years have been crazy! First, my fellow corgi, Marcel & I's owner passed away and we were given to someone who didn't have time for us. We spent our days living in crates. She tried breeding us but I wanted nothing to do with that. Marcel and I aren't that good of friends, he gets on my nerves. The lady realized it wasn't fair to keep my beauty cooped up in a crate and decided to surrender Marcel & I to the Sunshine Rescuers! That was a GREAT day!
The first thing the rescue lady did was take me to the pet store where I picked out chewies! Talk about starting out strong! I chose a duck foot, a bully stick & a trachea for obvious reasons. Next, we went on a long walk around the park where I met other dogs, rolled in the grass & charmed some people. Then finally, my favorite part so far, is when I got to meet my foster mom!
When we met she showered me with compliments and let me ride shotgun in the car. The first night with her I slept like an angel in my crate. Night two I got to sleep in the bed and its been that way ever since! I'm the perfect size to snuggle up with. I was a little rusty at first (from being crated 24/7) but have remembered that I am, in fact, housetrained. She's been taking me everywhere with her and I'm learning a lot. I even go to work with her, I'm a great business partner. Its a dog friendly office and I get along with pretty much everyone. I can get a little intimidated by big male dogs at first but come around in time. I have yet to meet a cat and I'm not sure if we'd get along.
I'm really excited for the next chapter of my life & finding some stability. I know that the people at Sunshine & my foster will make sure I end up in the right hands. That being said, I want you to know what I'm looking for...
I want a family that will include me in their lives as much as possible. I want to go exploring and on long walks everyday! I want someone who will be patient with me when I'm scared and while I'm adjusting to my new home. I want lots of treats, toys, cozy beds & healthy food.
