Damien’s life was turned upside when his previous owner surrendered him to CACC, and he lost the only home he ever knew. Scared and shaking in his kennel at animal control, and sick with the flu, Guardians came to his rescue. Once settled into his foster home, Damien’s personality began to shine through. Turns out this beautiful boy has lots of things he loves, and lots of love and kisses to give! Damien LOVES going on his daily walks. He gets super excited and does his happy dance at the door when you get his leash and harness. He prances right along with you :-). He also LOVES car rides. He sticks his little nose up and smells all those great smells as they come through the windows. Damien also LOVES playing with his favorite Kong and tennis ball. He especially loves it if you start up a game of fetch! He is really enjoying the warm sunshine and exploring his backyard. Chasing bugs and rolling in the grass have become two of his favorite past times.
Our sweet as pie Damien is perfect in his foster Mom’s eyes. He is dog friendly (he lives with another dog), people friendly, and has the best manners you could ask for. He enjoys walks around Notre Dame's campus, and going to dog friendly cafes with his foster family. He does great with bikers, children in strollers, skateboarders, runners, geese, other dogs walking, you name it. Well, those squirrels can be pretty exciting...
Damien weighs just under 60 lbs, is neutered, potty trained, and UTD on shots. He does wonderfully when left alone loose in the house (no crate), with a comfy couch or doggie bed to nap on. His birthday is October 28, 2008, but Damien likes to remind everyone that age is just a number- he is the spunkiest 7 year old around!! If you are looking to welcome the perfect mix of a fun loving, laid back guy, with those mature, gentlemen-like manners, Damien is waiting to meet you.
