My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is RC (it means RiverCat), and I was born in the San Diego riverbed, believe it or not. I am quite tame, however, because some humans took care of me down there. What a life I've had already! I had raccoons as friends, and I had to run away from any strange noises. I was catching mice for my meals off and on for my first three years, and I raised four of my babies before I got spayed. The humans would feed me for a while but then they would leave, and I was on my own again, fending for myself.

Finally, a woman decided I should be rescued. I'm glad, even though it is very strange to be out of the river. I live with her and eight other cats, and they are all OK - I like Charlie the best. I would stay there but she has too many cats to love. I am a happy cat that loves to play and I love being taken care of now. Even though I survived outside for a few years, I want to stay inside where I am safe.

I can be shy with new people at first, but I warm up quickly. I am very purry and love to play and be petted. Lots of people used to pet me at the river. I have all the important tests and shots. Sincerely, RC.
