Roxie has really made herself comfortable here and she amazes me how very smart she is. She is blind, although for awhile I thought she may have some sight, but she finds her way around so well. She has been with us since 9/1, and now I can ask her if she wants to go outside and if she does she walks over to the door and goes out, down the ramp, out in the yard, and when she is done she barks or scratches at door to come in. I take her out myself after dark.
Roxie is always happy and frisky in the mornings and lets me know, right along with her foster sisters and brothers, that it is breakfast time and they are anxious for it. Eats every bite I give her. She is also happy and playful when she comes in from outside and does her play bows and jumping around and I tickle her belly and behind her ears and she has her short, little play time. She likes to take a leisurely walk and is good on a leash.
She will always have to have her eye drops due to her dry eye. She sits on your lap and let you put them in without any problem. But you best remember she gets a little bite of cheese for a treat or she will remind you. She likes her belly rubbed and just takes life pretty easy. She likes the new beds on the floor and takes over one for her morning and afternoon snoozes. Roxie is up to date on her shots, has seen the dentist, and received a clean bill of health from the Vet. She is a pleasure to have around and I hope there is someone out there that would love to have this darling as a companion. You won't be sorry sharing your home with this little senior girl. And if you have ice cream, that would be just fine with her because she loves it.
