My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gatsby needs your help! He needs a foster! or a forever home! Do you have a fenced yard and a huge heart?

He is a Sheltie /BC mix as best we can tell. He was a stray for about 6 weeks before dog warden finally caught him. Then after four weeks at the shelter they put him on the euthanasia list because no one wanted him. The shelter had him listed as a senior with cataracts....our vet found no cataracts and once we cleared the eye infections away...look at those beautiful eyes!

So rather than kill him they asked if we would take him. So we now need a foster for him. We estimate his age to be around 5-7 years. His bloodwork came back with all normal organ functions but he is low thyroid.
He will need a fenced yard with someone willing to teach him that they won't leave him again! Actually they have told us he does appear to be very well trained for housebreaking. His social skills will need to be honed. He is very sweet and just wants to be with his humans! He does fine with other dogs, cats and given his gentle nature would probably be okay with older children.
Due to being a border collie mix he is about 40-45lbs...
