My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Chloe or Chlo-Bell as my foster family calls me. I am approx. 4 months old and they believe that I am a Shar-Pei mixed with Yellow Lab.
I was rescued from the streets of Houston where I was not used to being around people, but I have come a long way! After just a few days with my foster family, I was already coming around more. I enjoy following my foster mom around. I can still be shy with new people and also when people walk directly toward me, but I am getting there!
I am such a sweet, calm girl. My energy levels are up when people are playing with me, but I have no problem chilling out when things get quiet and no one is bothering me. I typically just find a good spot and sprawl out for a nap! I am a still a puppy, so I like to chew, but I usually just chew on my own toys and bones.
My foster family has 2 small children that like to play and hang all over me and I am fine with that! They also have a cat, which I find intriguing, but I don’t bother her. Sometimes I do sneak some of her food though and it is yummy!
I have been kennel training with my foster family and usually go in with no problems if you offer me a small treat in return. Since I am still a puppy, I still require to be let out at least once during the night, but I do my business and come right back inside and return to my crate. I do not whine or bark much at all. I have not had any accidents in my kennel since living with my foster family. I have had a few inside the house, but I am still learning about potty training. I know I will master this potty thing because my foster mom tells me I’m smart.
I like to take walks around the neighborhood and even do so without a leash (my foster mom is right at my side but gives me a moment to feel like a big girl)! I generally stay nearby when I am let outside without being on leash and I know my name, so I usually respond when called.
My foster mom believes that I am going to be a wonderful companion to an individual or to a family someday. I can’t wait to find my fur-ever home!
