My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Atlas is a 2.5 year old Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix. He is a super intelligent and high energy dog. He came from a home with multiple cats and dogs and gets along well with most. He can be nervous with larger dogs if they approach too quickly but with proper introduction he usually wants to play. Atlas loves to play fetch and it is a great way to use up his boundless energy.

Atlas will need a home that will continue to socialize and train. He is a great boy, but needs his good manners reinforced. He is food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement. He came from a country home and still can be a bit barky about the noises in a neighborhood, but quiets quickly when asked. He also has a reliable "leave it". Atlas knows basic commands watch me, sit, down, wait, stay and come. He walks nicely on a leash and is reliable off leash. He does love to hunt squirrels, rabbits and birds. If there is a duck in the park lake, Atlas will make a giant dive to get it. He is reliably potty trained, but is not thrilled about a crate. He has never been destructive and gets along well with others so has not had to be crated when I'm gone.

Atlas is a lover. He prefers to be close and even touching his person. He loves to snuggle on the couch while we watch TV. He will snuggle up to the other dogs too. He is still learning to be calm for nails and is getting better. Atlas will make a great dog for an active owner. This dog is no couch potato, but for someone wanting a dog to go places and do things, for example hiking, he will be a great fit. Atlas would be a great agility dog as he is super athletic and loves to learn new things. He is not a dog for a quiet life style. All of his energy needs to be directed into work and/or play.

Atlas is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all vaccines. For more information please email your information to Corgidenise@att.net.
