Jesse's Story...
Jesse is very friendly, likes other dogs, cats and kids. Jesse needs to live in a home with a fenced yard or leashed when outside as past owner allowed him to run in town without supervision. He is learning to walk on leash and is doing well. Jesse would make a great dog for an active family or person who wants to include him in their daily activities. He loves to go to the dog park and play with the other dogs. Jesse was previously neutered, he is current on vaccinations and heartworm negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jesse, a Red Oak Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Red Oak, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Red Oak.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Red Oak already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Red Oak breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Red Oak paves the way for another one to be saved.
