Hi, my name is Turbo. I am a female Blue & Gold Macaw. I am not sure exactly how old I am, but I am an adult. I was owned by a guy who wanted to breed baby macaws, so he put me with Bud in a home made cage in a barn! I laid lots of eggs, but for some reason none of them hatched. It is just as well, I am not really cut out for parenthood. I really love people and want to go back to being someone's pet. When I was rescued by my wonderful foster mom, I was dirty and hungry. I came to her and stepped up right away. She gave me a superb bath and lots of good food. I am eating ZuPreem Fruit Blend. It wasn't long before she gave me my own cage too. I like Bud, but we were not really bonded and I am so happy to have my own space. I step up for just about anyone. I like to say "hello" whenever I hear the phone ring. Life has been stressful for me and I have plucked most of my tummy feathers, they may not grow back, but I have never lost my trust in people. If you would like to give me a good home, my adoption fee is $500. I will not be available for adoption until I have surgery to repair my hernia, which was caused by laying too many eggs.
