My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tina was a street cat (we called her the cat in the ditch) but very friendly, almost too friendly, because we were worried she would be killed by one of the many homeless dogs in the neighborhood, so we took her off the street so that she would be safe. She is very friendly and tame.

More about this rescue

Easthaven Dog Rescue is a small rescue organization and shelter. We rescue homeless, neglected, abused and/or abandoned pets, mainly from the Easthaven subdivision. We also have a program called "Shelter in Place." Shelter in Place assists people who currently own pets but want to give up their pets because of problems. We help solve the problems, allowing the owners to keep their pet. Some of the problems we help with include: owner can't afford vaccines or medical treatment, training and socialization problems, containment issues (no fence or fence needs repair), and other problems. We like to teach people what their pets need. Feel free to call or write if you have any pet questions.

Donations of cash or supplies are always appreciated. We would welcome volunteers who would help bathe or walk dogs.
