Scooby is a 5 year old little shih tzu that is hoping for a fresh start in life. He came to us from our Newark facility when his owner turned him in after having him since puppyhood. The reason given was that Scooby didn't get along with other animals. In the first month that Scooby was with us, he met many dogs and cats and got along perfectly fine with them, so if you are interested in him and have a dog, bring your dog in and we'll see how they do. Poor Scooby was a bit overgrown and neglected when he was turned in and needed a good long spa day. Since he was allowed to get so overgrown by his former family, Scooby was not thrilled with the grooming, but he got through it and and has now put his past behind him. Scooby is a sweet and bubbly little guy that is a real gentleman while out for a walk. He's well behaved and passes by other dogs without a second glance. Scooby is happy to make new friends but he is not overly affectionate when he first meets you. Just give him some time and he'll be your best friend for life. He would do best in a home with no small children. If you can give Scooby all the love and happiness that he deserves, come in and meet our little guy. File#26795 10/21/16
