Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's Big Ben, and he would love to be the newest member of your family! Ben is just a year old and he was tossed out of the house when his owners split up, unfortunately. Ben had a home since puppyhood and was purchased from a breeder. He's a whopper of a dog of about 80 lbs., but Ben is a gentle, loving guy that's a total teddy bear when he comes to know and love you. Ben arrived in a bit of a neglected state but he's getting all cleaned up and feeling good. He's overjoyed to get some attention from new friends and although he's large and playful, all you need to do is scratch his chin or behind his ears, and Ben literally falls asleep standing up! What a goofball he is. He's had training and is good on a leash, he sits instantly when asked, and is gentle with taking whatever you offer him. Ben is best as an only pet, but he'll love you as much as a dozen pets if you give him the chance! Email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#71658 4/9/24

We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Associated Humane Societies, Inc., including Popcorn Park Zoo, is to consistently provide the highest quality of care to all animals, domestic and wildlife, including their rescue, housing, veterinary care, placement whenever possible, and when required, a peaceful end. It is also our mission to prevent cruelty to all animals, primarily in New Jersey, but also throughout the United States. This shall be done through direct intervention as well as the promotion of humane education regarding the proper care and treatment of animals at both public and private levels, thereby advancing the humane treatment of animals everywhere.
