UPDATED BIO 12-20-2016: Mattie is doing very well in her foster home these days. She is also looking so much better, although she is still a bit thin. She enjoys her dinners and anyone else's dinner if she finishes first.
Mattie has learned how to go in/out the doggie door – the doggie pack taught her how to use it – isn’t she smart? She has discovered how how much fun it is to dig in the dirt outside and Foster Mom has seen her try to eat it – ewwww! Mattie loves running around the fenced-in back yard, mostly following the pack to investigate different areas of the yard. FM thinks a fenced-in back yard is a must for Mattie. She just loves being outside in the fresh air and loves lying in the sun. When FM is outside, Mattie will sit close to her while she is working in the garden, and when FM moves to another spot, Mattie follows her and finds the sun – so sweet!
FM is still working with Mattie on her house-training skills; she seems to get the idea, and with consistency and repetition, she will understand that OUTside is the place to do her business.
Mattie loves to be around her people and in the midst of activity – she also loves to be held and cuddled. Wherever you are - Mattie is right there, too. If you want a little cuddle-bug and a doggie that loves being with you, then Mattie is your girl!
Note: The Christmas Miracle dogs came into UYR with no vetting history and all needed dentals, labs and spays/neuters. If you can find it in your heart to donate towards Mattie’s vetting, please consider a donation to UYR at this season of giving.
Mattie's adoption donation is $250.00 and includes all vetting (spay,dental, vaccinations, microchip and chip registration). A vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption.
