My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Eddie.  Right now I live in Orlando with my foster parents.  I came to stay with them on the afternoon before hurricane Matthew made landfall in northern Florida.  The day seemed a bit spooky with all the apprehension and anxiety in the air, but we were well prepared and then really lucky when the storm turned further east than anticipated. 

 

My foster parents tell me that I am NOT like Matthew.  They say that I am quiet and gentle, that I share lots of love, and they are wondering if I know how to bark.  I like to be wherever they are and my favorite place is cuddling up to them on the couch when they watch TV.  I wasn't allowed on furniture at my former home, which is okay because I like to curl up on the dog bed too.  However, when I look at my foster parents with my big brown eyes they can't say NO to joining them; especially since my foster sister, is allowed on the furniture.

 

Since I’m 13 years old, I enjoy walking slowly because I have become a little stiff, but that’s okay -- it gives me time to explore. And I never ever pull on the leash!  I have a Grade 3 heart murmur but yeah,  I don’t have to take medication for it!  I remember there were children in my life some time ago, and I am always happy to meet the ones in this neighborhood, and I also like to meet other dogs.  In fact I have never met a stranger – everyone is my friend and I am theirs.  Since my arrival at my foster family’s house, I have met many new people and most of them say that they have fallen in love with me.

Eddie is being fostered in Orlando and his adoption fee is $300.
