My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Darby as you can see I am quite handsome and I know it. I am super sweet and have a lot of love to give but I need a family that can build my confidence with patience and understanding. I would benefit from a strong but very gentle pack leader and some obedience classes. At my foster parents house I live with two other dogs and really like to play with them. I am also learning to play with humans, which I don't think I did in my past life before NCBR rescued me. I am so glad I was rescued because I was going to be put to sleep! Instead NCBR took me to the vet and are getting me all fixed up so I can go to my forever home. I sunburn very easy so I will have to have sunscreen on when I am out side. I also have some allergy issues but have been doing really well and they are under control. I have a hearing problem and get confused as to where sound is coming from. My foster mom says I can hear better than I let on and that I am just stubborn.

Darby is a special boy that needs a special family who can give him the love and care he deserves. He is a small boxer, very calm when he is not around other dogs and has a good temperament. Darby is still unsure of himself and needs a family that will spend a lot of time with him and make him part of the family. Even with sunscreen he will also need to be kept out of the sun for long periods of time.

Please submit an adoption questionnaire if interested in adopting this dog!

Have you ever wished you could adopt one of the boxers on our available page but you just can't have another dog? Do you want to make a difference in the life of a homeless boxer? Now you can, become a rescue boxers best friend and sponsor a boxer in our program!

Each boxer that enters into our program requires vet care, some only require a few shots but more often than not they need extensive vet care such as surgery or other expensive medical treatments. Our adoption fee's are NOT enough to cover our vet bills.

All the dogs also require food, blankets, grooming, advertising and transportation.

To sponsor a boxer: please visit our Available Boxers page and select a boxer. Then enter his name on the pay pal page by clicking below image:
