My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Juan Francisco and it’s great to meet you! I’m looking for a new family to call my own! Could it be you? Could you be my new mom or dad?

Here’s my stats:
Possible Breed: Maltese, Poodle

Gender: I’m a real guy

Colors: White

Age: The vet says around 6.

Weight: About 8 pounds

Ideal Home: I’m versatile. I get along with other dogs so I can live in a multi-dog household. But I really love to cuddle with my peeps so I could be an only dog if you have lots of time to spend with me. I like the little humans too, as long as they have good dog manners!

Now for the good stuff!-
I love to explore new places and I prance wherever I go! I like to run but I’m not rowdy. As a matter of fact I’m a laid back boy. And my favorite thing is to sit with my people. I love laps or at least sitting close to you, if you prefer. I get along with both boy and girl dogs and while I’d enjoy a playmate, I could be an only dog too.

I like to play with kids and other dogs more than I like to play with toys. I can walk well on a leash and ride in the car but I do whine a little if I’m in a carrier. I am crate trained but prefer a bed to sleep in. I don’t have any medical issues now and I’m not on any medications. I was picked up as a stray so my former life is a mystery.

My foster mom says, “Juan is such a love bug. He actually holds onto your shoulder when you are holding him. If you stop petting him he will tap you until you do it again! He loves to cuddle.”

PS. I've had ALL my vetting, and oh boy, it was a lot. Here's what I had done:
Distemper/Parvo shots – TWICE. One shot doesn't cut it.
Bordetella shots - ALSO TWICE.
Spay/Neuter-of course.
A fecal exam so I don't have any bad worms. Treatment if I do.
A heartworm test. Treatment if I am positive for heart worms
BLOODWORK to make sure my liver and kidneys are working well, because you know, we doggies often have issues in the liver and kidneys.
A DENTAL exam AND cleaning if I needed it- yep, all my toofies are checked out.
See, that's a LOT. Ask your vet - that's a LOT.
