Reise is a beautiful 18-month-old Rottweiler girl. Reise (German for 'Journey') had a rough path into rescue. at the tender age of 4 months, someone had broken her leg in 4 different places. In order to save her life, we had to amputate one of her back legs. However, I bet you would never notice; go watch the video of her outrunning her best friend 'Betty" with ease. Reise has a love for life in itself, almost as if she knows she has a whole journey ahead of her, she is very affectionate and approaches life with a smile and sense of humor.
Reise has gone through obedience training one-on-one with a trainer, as well as within group classes and has advanced commands such as 'sit, stand, down, sit and down stay in patterns and, duration and distance, fetch, as well as solid recall, etc'. She has also been exposed to crate training and is very familiar with having down time in her kennel. Reise is fully vetted and already spayed. She is wonderful with people of any kind (children, adults, elderly), has been exposed to other environments often and is also great with other dogs, but needs her time to warm up to them. While she is available for adoption by herself, she is also part of our bonded pair.
When she came into rescue, she met 'Betty' (F-18 month old Cane Corso) and they have been inseparable since. They enjoy daily playtime, runs and walks together, and love to hang out in the pool during the hot time of the year. Betty and Reise share their toys and have absolutely no resource guarding towards one another. You can read more about Betty if you check her description.
