Dumped on the side of the road in a box with litter mates the puppies were lucky to be seen by a kind samaritan. They were covered in fleas, ticks and ringworm, dehydrated and scared; but appeared to be healthy. They were extremely fearful of a human touch but have come along way with some TLC. He is still shy and untrusting but playful, very curious and still learning to trust all humans. Quincy is the sweetheart who just needs a little encouragement and confidence but would make the best new family member or faithful companion. He cannot be around children or male dogs. If interested in meeting him please email us.

More about this rescue
Our History:
Our organization was established in May of 2000 as a No-kill, 501 (c) (3) non-profit shelter. At that time animals were fostered and adopted out by word of mouth out of a donated space at a local veterinary clinic, staffed completely by volunteers. We outgrew that space quickly and moved into our own location in 2002 becoming a key resource in the community. We are located on IH-10 West in Fair Oaks Ranch, near Boerne, housing only dogs. We have made great improvements through the years and hope to increase the number of animals rescued, increase adoptions, fundraising events, and reach more communities. We provide a temporary shelter, care and rehabilitation to homeless and unwanted dogs until responsible, loving homes can be found. As a no-kill shelter, we want to help reduce the number of animals euthanized each year by educating the public on the importance of proper pet care, animal behavior and overpopulation prevention. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before leaving our facility.
We are "Saving lives others have toss away".
