My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gizmo is a very affectionate, energetic Boston Terrier. At two years and two months of age (as of January 2009), he has already been the victim of two foreclosures, given up twice when his "family" was forced to move. He is very playful, likes to fetch, likes tug-of-war, and will always roll over for a belly rub. He also is a great jogging companion and would love to run alongside you.

Gizmo will do best as the only dog in the household, unless the other dog is confident and non-confrontational, and you are willing to introduce them very slowly. He has been through a course of training to deal with his initial fear of other dogs, but still has some fear aggression issues left. You must be a strong enough and savvy enough guardian to correct him if he lunges at other dogs. This behavior is manageable and probably correctable, and you will have the advice of his trainer for assistance. At least at first, dog beaches and dog parks are not recommended.

To recoup part of the cost of the abovementioned training and because he is a purebred Boston, we are asking an adoption donation of $400.

An E-Mail response (to bostonlicorice@yahoo.com) telling us what you are looking for in a dog is fine. You can also contact Rob at Discarded Miracles (on weekdays wait until after 5 pm, please) at 714-906-5942.
