My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Honey! She is an adorable little girl. Honey is 8 years old and weighs 8 pounds. She is being fostered in St. Augustine, FL..

UPDATED BIO 03/12/2017: This sweet little girlie, who has been nick-named Honey Bunch by her foster parents, just arrived at her foster home so it will take a couple of days for them to get to know one another. Honey Bunch came into rescue with her mom Poopsie, but it has been determined that they can be separated and are being fostered in separate homes.

Foster Mom already knows that Honey Bunch is a very lucky girlie. Why? Because she had a wonderful owner that took great care of her. Honey is only in rescue because her owner is getting up in years and he now has health problems that prevent him from caring for her as he has always done. She will miss him very much but she knows that her new forever family is out there just waiting for her.

Honey Bunch is spayed and up to date on all of her vaccinations and vetting care. She will make a trip to foster Mom’s Vet for a “healthy dog” visit. Honey rides great in the car, settling right into her carry crate without a peep. She is very active and loves to go for walks. She is not a little girlie that would be happy being a couch potato, or having an owner that is a couch potato. Soon after she arrived in her foster home, Honey and Foster Mom had already been out for 4 walks no less than ½ mile each. Now if you are a couch potato and want to change your ways and need a reason to get up and start moving, Honey might be your answer.

Foster Mom says that Honey Bunch loves snuggling on her lap – this little one has had a really big first day. Foster Mom says that she has never EVER experienced a little doggie actually purring as she strokes her head and side. Honey Bunch is very active, but she is also very cuddly and a love bug that loves to be held and loves to snuggle. She doesn’t mind being carried around either.

Honey Bunch is getting along great with her foster sisters and brother (the 4-legged ones) and has met a few neighbors (the 2-legged kind) and has been very sweet. This is all for now but Honey & Foster Mom will be back in touch real soon with an update. Foster Mom is anxious to share with you her progress and let you know how she is getting along.

INITIAL BIO 03/11/2017: Honey came into rescue just today - her human dad was ill and no longer able to care for her. She came in with her mother, Honey. Even though they have always been together, they can be adopted separately and are in different foster homes. Honey's foster mom & dad are just getting to know her, so stay tuned for more info on this sweet little girlie!
