Persephone is a female Syrian Hamster. She may be named after the goddess of the underworld, but she has a sweet and gentle temperament. Reach into her cage to pet her, she'll roll onto her back for a belly rub. Put her in an exercise ball and she'll cautiously wander the house. Hold her and she'll stay relaxed and even remain perched for a few minutes while you admire her beauty. She is a large brown and white hammie who requires a spacious cage and running wheel to keep her happy and healthy.
