Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE: GARFIELD WAS ADOPTED BUT HEATHCLIFF IS STILL AVAILABLE:

We're like doublemint gum, we're double fun!

We are Garfield & Heathcliff & we play a lot: with anything: string, balls of paper, feet...you name it, we can make a party out of it. We also like to cuddle but we won't make you do all the work. We do like to help clean out the litter box (and by 'help' our foster mom clarifies, ' jump in and out, attack your legs and generally get in the way').

Our birth Mama wandered into someone's garage (uh, that would be our current fostermom's garage) & gave birth to us & our siblings on August 5th. We are all litterbox trained & weaned & ready for homes now. We have not yet been spayed/neutered but we will be before we are placed into homes permanently.

My foster caregiver says this about us: Heathcliff and Garfield are two peas in a pod. They are twin boys and are colored very similarly except the one is a little more orangey and has more white on his face, belly and paws. You can see the striped pattern that they both have from the side angle. They spend most of their time together and I’d prefer to adopt them out to the same home but it’s not necessary. Garfield (the darker twin) used to be quite a sleeper but recently he’s been just as active as the rest. Also, all of these kittens are exposed to my Labrador Daisy & they are not aggressive although they do find her a little intimidating.

Contact Tricia if you are interested in both or just one of these little monkeys. The suggested adoption fee is $50 per kitten but if you adopt the pair, we will deduct $10 off each kitty's fee. Your donation helps cover some of the cost of their vetting.

Thanks for looking to rescue a kitty. We need all the help we can get!

Also, other rescuer folks asked me to tell you about this:

BENEFIT: Saturday, 11/08/2008, 7:00PM-10:30PM

The benefit will be held at the R. G. Cribbet Recreation Center at 5903 Hawthorne Avenue, next to the Fairfax Police Department off of Wooster Pike in Fairfax. Admission is $15.00 per person, which includes live entertainment, snacks, soft drinks, 2 beer tickets, hourly door prizes, dancing, and "split the pot".

There will be 3 bands performing: "Tuesday Night Jam" (Bluegrass featuring the mandolin player from the Gibson Brothers of Grand Ole Opry fame), "Midnight Louie" (rock and roll from the 50’s to 90’s, current pop tunes, standards, and more), and recording artist "Johnny Combs the Man in Black" (Johnny Cash tribute band with special guest "June Carol" singing the role of June Carter Cash).

All proceeds from this event will go to a no-kill shelter being run by R.O.C.K. (Rescue Our Cats and Kittens) and the care and feeding of orphaned and abused animals in the Madisonville area.

Despite the group’s title, dogs are also being helped by this group and many orphaned animals are being fed, spayed, neutered, housed or adopted-out, and given medical treatment.
