My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fusion is a beautiful flame point siamese and a very sweet boy to boot. He is a bit timid to begin with but warms up to you. He is also very curious.

Please consider being a Foster family for Fusion. He needs a home with someone who is a cat person and will be patient with him. He is a timid soul but has shown to warm up once he knows you. He really needs a home to develop social skills so he can have a forever home.

He is FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) positive. FIV is a widely misunderstood condition. Many people think that it’s easily spread, makes cats very sick, and that they have a lower life expectancy, so they are not often adopted. This is far from the truth! Please contact your Vet for information or contact Joy’s Animal Rescue 316-208-1872 and provide you with current information.

Please check out Joy’s volunteer positions. We could really use your help!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption contract that is filled out by all prospective adopters. We then do a vet check to make sure all animals currently and in the past were kept up on their shots. We then charge an $85 adoption fee for cats. The fees include the spay or neuter. If the pet has not been spayed or neutered prior to going home there is a $50 hold that is returned upon confirmation of the spay or neuter. And a contract is signed with the rescue.

Go meet their pets

Currently we do adoptions out of the Petco located in New Market Square in Wichita Kansas. We currently house cats in their adoption section at the front of the store. We also place pictures on our Facebook page.

More about this rescue

Our group was started to help animals find there forever homes. Most of our animals are in foster homes where they get more attention than in a shelter. Our rescue was started by a group of volunteers that wanted to make a difference in the unwanted pet population.
