My story

Hello there, I am Zena, an awesome, fun but docile Shar-Pei/Lab mix. I am such a good girl and so loving...with kids, strangers, just about anyone!! But I will say, I do NOT like dogs that bark!! I get extremely upset! I also don't like small animals too much either! I grew up outside & like to hunt them. I have brought some birds & squirrels home for my foster mommy, as a gift; but I don't think she likes them too much.

I am pretty good on the leash but need to be kept on a short line just in case another dog comes near and starts to bark at me. I am super quiet myself, you probably won't hear a peep out of me once I get settled. I'm also pretty low energy & calm as well, as long as I get my daily walk and attention. I am still young, around 3 or 4; so I still like to run and go a little crazy sometimes, especially when my foster mommy and daddy get home from work!! I have good manners in the house and know the bathroom is outside!! However, new situations and new places scare me a lot; so I'm sure my new home will take me a few weeks to get used to. I will be very timid & may whimper a little, but give me time and I'm sure I'll come around!! I definitely like to chew and need a variety of bones all the time; otherwise, I like shoes!! But my foster mommy taught me not to touch those and she gives me yummy bones instead, so I haven't gone near a shoe in months!! I also like to lounge outside and sun bathe!! \

I would love a home with a fenced in yard & also where I'm the only one to love!! I think that will be best for me. Hope there's a family out there that is perfect for me because I really am the ideal loving companion, who loves to be pet on my super duper soft coat!!
