Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Benny is a super sweet little dude who loves to play fetch, get his butt scratched and be around other humans and small dogs. I adopted him from a shelter as a stray a year ago that knew very little about him. His estimated age is 9 years old. He is up to date on vaccinations and in very good health. He weighs 22 lbs and knows how to sit, shake, lay down and roll over. I am hoping to find him a new best friend who works from home or in a dog-friendly office, or who has other dogs at home to keep him company. He is good with most small dogs, but sometimes afraid of larger dogs, or dogs that invade his personal space too quickly. Benny does have some separation anxiety but it has gotten much better over the past year that I've had him. At my last job I was able to bring him to work and he was a wonderful office dog who slept under my desk for most of the day before visiting cubical neighbors for treats and cuddles. I switched jobs recently which does not allow me to bring him, and I am concerned that as a single dog-mom who works full-time, he's not getting enough stimulation and companionship. Benny is good with cats that are accustomed to dogs being around, though if a cat is fearful of dogs and gives him wide eyes and an arched back, he may react with a growl and want to chase it. Similarly, while he's fantastic with older children, he may bark or growl if frightened by small children who scream suddenly. Those few quirks aside, he is really a wonderful little gentleman and will make a very loyal companion and friend.
