Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Atossa (pronounced UH-TOE-SUH) is a 7 yr old purebred AKC registered Belgian Malinois whose owner recently passed away, unfortunately. Luckily a friend of the owner's who knew Atossa needed the right kind of home took her in temporarily and reached out to us! Atossa is a little thing - a bit smaller than your average Mal. She is a little nervous about all the changes in her life as you can imagine, so she is going to spend some time with our friend Kris at Kompletely K-9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation to help her learn not to be worried! Won't be hard as she is AWESOME. Atossa is only medium energy for a Belgian Malinois - may be due to her age. She is protective at the door - typical behavior for the breed. She is very sweet as long as you let her approach you and check you out, and her person assures her it is ok. Atossa, in typical Maligator fashion LOVES her ball and toys, and carries them around with her - like security blankets. She seems especially fond of women, and most likely the woman of the household will be her "person". She is fine with other dogs upon proper intro. The home Atossa is looking for would be one that doesn't have a ton of strangers in and out. We would probably not place her in a home with small children, because she would probably want to herd them all the time, and she wouldn't get to relax! We would like to see her in a home with a confident person, who is somewhat active. Although she would probably be fine as an only dog, we think she might really like to have another dog to hang out with. This is a very special girl and will really make a nice addition to the right home. If you would like to consider opening your home and heart to Atossa, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will not schedule meet & greets without an approved app on file. Here's the link:
