Merik is looking for his furever home! We rescued Merik several weeks ago from a kill shelter in CA where he had been abandoned by his owner. We cannot say enough good things about his guy. Merik is quite a presence - he is a big, rangy dog of nearly 100 lbs. He's a gentle giant of about 8 yrs old. This dog is amazing in so many ways. He is mellow, super friendly, and housebroken. He likes to lie on his bed, and chew a ball. He's not really interested in chasing it! His foster reports he enjoys lying outside in the shade and chillin'. He walks super great on the leash. He makes friends wherever he goes - the people at the vet's office and in stores just love him. He's a huge lovebug. Merik is in foster and doing OK with the little dog in the home, once time and care was taken to introduce them safely over a week or so. He also may be fine with larger dogs, but would probably want any other larger dogs in the home to be confident, otherwise he may try to be dominant. He will walk along nicely on a leash with about any dog, but in a home he may try to dominate a more submissive dog. We just adore this amazing and stunning boy.
