Greetings! My name is Perla, and if you are looking for a devoted, sweet-as-sugar little friend to cuddle, I am a 5-year-old Chihuahua who is available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation! I am 8 pounds of love, and I have gorgeous caramel-colored fur. My adorable ears always stand at attention because I like to listen to every word my favorite people say, and I love to look at you with my big, beautiful eyes.
Fetching Tails Foundation rescued me after my previous owners had to give me away. I have been having lots of fun in my foster home since my rescue: some of my favorite activities include hanging out with my doggie friends (foster mommy has a couple other little chihuahuas like me!), running around in the yard and throughout the house, and playing with soft, squeaky toys. I get along fabulously with other dogs and think it would be fun to have another furry friend or two in my forever home, however my friends should be of the doggie variety and not kitties. I am a little shy when meeting new humans for the first time, but once I come out of my shell I am the most loving little girl you will ever meet: I love to snuggle, and shower you with my affection.
I have pretty great house manners, too: I have been working on my potty training and crate training since my foster mommy saved me. I am good about using a pee pad now that I know what it is for, and will go potty outside when we go out to do our business. With consistency and a routine I will have a perfect record in no time. If you have to leave the house for a few hours to go to work or run errands, I will be content to make myself a perfect little chihuahua nest out of my blankets and doggie bed so I can curl up for a nap. I love to be warm and comfortable, so I hope my forever family has lots of blankets for me to call my own!
