Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our new California Dogs have arrived and we are so excited! Please meet SAMEER! Sameer is just a pup - we estimate him to be under 18 mos. This super sweet guy was obviously a backyard dog. When we brought him inside the house at the rescue he really wasn't sure what to do! He has had no training, needless to say. He does pretty well even so! Sameer met the rescue kitty Tater - and did well - he just gave him sniff. If the cat ran he would probably chase, but otherwise showed no real interest. He has done OK so far with other dogs too, upon proper intro! HOWEVER - if the other dogs escalates, Sameer will, too, although not in an aggressive way and he is easily corrected. He hung out with personal dog King for the entire afternoon and did fine. Sameer is with our friends at Kompletely K-9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation learning some commands and getting leash training and they report he is doing great and learning quickly. Sameer is a PUPPY, really, and so he has a lot of energy, and will need someone committed to his keeping his training on track! We think Sameer is going to make a great companion for the right family who knows what it takes to raise a GSD puppy - they are NOT for everyone. If you would like to possibly add Sameer to your loving home, please fill out our online app to get the approval process started. We won't schedule meet & greets without an approved app on file. Applicants should expect to have their vet references checked to make sure that all current and prior pets have been kept up on rabies and distemper, as well as annual Heartworm tests, and a minimum of 6 mos preventative per year purchased, and be spayed/neutered.
