Say hello to the beautiful 65 pound Baxter. He is estimated to be about 18-19 months old. Baxter came to the shelter as a little lost boy on 07/06 along with his friend Aida. A family never came to bring them home. Baxter thought he found a forever home on 09/01 by a family who had recently lost a dog and their other dog was lonely. The family said Baxter looked just like him and the 2 dogs seemed to hit it off in the shelter. Once home the other dog did not want anything to do with sweet Baxter. The family felt it best to bring Baxter back to the shelter on 09/14, the same day Aida was rescued. They said he is good with kids.We know Baxter loves other dogs and he knows his basic commands to sit, stay and lay down. He is current on vaccines, neutered, tested negative for heart worms and micro-chipped. He is all set to go. He is waiting for his new family in run 828 and his ID# is 599557.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
