My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DAISY is a seven-year-old Maine Coon tiger with white chest female cat. Daisy has a bit of an odd tale in how she came to us; her former owner left her in the waiting room, secure in a cat carrier and a folder with her health records nearby. Daisy is a puff ball extraordinaire, and unfortunately her coat was severely matted, right down to her spine. Not anymore! Daisy is a very, very big girl, and she’s stunning, with distinct markings and gorgeous green eyes. Daisy loves to talk to you, and she’ll listen bright-eyed when you talk to her. Daisy loves to be engaged, though we suspect she’ll do well in a household where she is the only cat. Daisy also appears not to be overly fond of young children, and we don’t know what was in her background that may have caused her to feel this way. If you’ve got some patience and time to open your heart to this girl, we think you’ll end up with a wonderful feline companion!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.
