My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finley is the sweetest boy! He loves a good cuddle and will seek you out in the morning for wake up snuggles. If he sees you couch surfing, he will join you when he feels he hasn't had adequate attention.

Extremely playful, Finley loves to chase anything fuzzy, enjoys a good laser pointer game, and doesn't seem to have issues entertaining himself. He carries fuzzy pompoms around and will sometimes growl so that everyone knows how tough he is.

Finley loves good food, treats, love, and affection. He will be an amazing addition to his forever family!

Must adopt as a buddy to another cat.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
