Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nice to meet you! I'm Farley and the shelter is the only home I have ever known. While I'm very grateful for my friends at Abandoned Pet Rescue who have taken care of me since I was a kitten, it's been 11 years and I've been longing to have a home to call my own! Being one of the cats that have been at APR the longest isn't really the record I'd like to be known for. In fact, I'd like to be known for how vibrantly orange my coat is and maybe even win the Sweetest Cat of the Decade award!...That *is* a real award, right?
Anyhow, I've always had a feeling that there was so much more beyond these walls... maybe a loving owner that will give me affection and praise (and treats too!) Being sweet talked to is the best; you'll found out quickly that praising me is my absolute favorite thing in the world! When you go to pet me, I might seem a little shy because I'll put my head down, but I swear I love the attention. I don't want to be alone anymore, so please hurry up and fill out an application to adopt me at abandonedpetrescue.org! Until then, I'll keep trying to be patient like I always have...To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
