My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pixel, rare and beautiful like a hidden gem. He is a male Tortie which only appears every 1 in 3,000 births. Like most gemstones, it takes a little work to reveal the beauty underneath, Pixel has a timid exterior but once he gets to know you, his sweet nature shines through. Pixel has been here since he was a kitten and loves snuggling with his best friend Mouse
Pixel was born March 2016 and is average size 7-9 pounds. To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter

Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.

APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
