My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Daisy Doodle. She is one of three beautiful daughters of Ruby Rose. Daisy Doodle is 10 weeks old and currently weighs 2.5 pounds. She Is now ready for adoption. Her adoption fee is $695. Daisy Doodle is being fostered in Saint Augustine, FL.

UPDATED BIO 10/02/2017: A lot has changed since the last update on Miss Daisy Doodle. This baby girl now weighs 2 1/2 lbs. What a big girl for being only 10 weeks old! Daisy’s big sister Mollie Mae has been adopted and her wee little sister Tinker Bella may be close to adoption. Daisy is still looking for her perfect forever home.

Daisy has had quite the battle with a Ringworm infection, which is actually a common fungus that is prevalent in puppies. Foster Mom has been relentlessly fighting this Ringworm fungus battle for weeks. She believes that it is almost under control, but before Daisy Doodle has any meet-and-greets with a potential forever family, she must be totally clear.

Daisy is looking for a family with at least one stay-at-home parent. Because of her very young age, she will need constant supervision to keep her safe and out of trouble. She needs a family to work gently with her on house-training. She is just a tiny little girlie right now, although she thinks she is a big girl, and needs patience and kind guidance in training. She loves attention and has no problem voicing her need for such if she feels she is not getting enough. Daisy is a very active puppy (and yes, all pups are active!), but Daisy is extremely active, much more than her two sisters. A couch potato will not be a good match for this one. She will require a family that is active and up to the challenge of keeping up with her.

Her foster mom is not looking for a family with young children as she is just too young and too little to compete with that kind of activity. If you are looking for a small yorkie who will continue to be tiny as she grows up, then Daisy is not the girl for you. While we don’t know anything about the size of her daddy, we do know that her Mama Ruby Rose just weighed in over 13 pounds on her latest vet visit. We can only guess that Daisy will be a bigger yorkie once she reaches her adult weight.

If you think your family might be a good fit for little Miss Daisy Doodle, please complete and submit your application. Please do not submit an application because you think she is cute. Please only submit an application if you think you are what we are looking for in her forever family. There are a few “requirements” in her 08/16/2017 bio below that are still relevant as well.

UPDATED BIO 08/16/2017: Daisy Doodle here. It’s been a few days now that I came into UYR with my Mama Ruby Rose and my 2 sister littermates. I am doing great, but I have a way to go before I’m ready for adoption. Yeah, I know I am cute as a button, but there is much more to me than that. If you are interested in adopting me there are a few things you need to know.

I will not be willing to go to a home with children. I know there are a lot of responsible doggy-friendly homes with children out there, but I am not ready for that at such a young and vulnerable age. I will need to have a household where my new forever Mom and/or Dad is home all day with me. I am just a wee little soul and will need a lot of patience and training and this cannot be done without someone home with me all of the time. I will demand that my new parents take me to puppy training classes. I will need this for socialization and to help train Mom and/or Dad so that they can learn how to work with me.

A fenced-in yard would be nice, but I also will require that my new forever family take me for walks on a leash. I will need the exercise and I want and need the socialization.

Most importantly, I will need a forever family that understands that even though I am cute as a button, I will require a lot of work and a lot of training. I will require a lot of money for vetting and grooming and annual dentals and quality food and care. And I will require a home that understands that I could easily be around for 15-18 years, so having me for your very own will require a long commitment.

If you are still interested in my cute self and my hefty requirements, please go to our website and complete and submit an application. I’ll be waiting to hear from you.

INITIAL BIO 08/12/2017: Daisy Doodle came in today with her mom, Ruby Rose, and her 2 beautiful sisters. Please watch our website for pictures and updates very soon.

PLEASE NOTE: UYR took in a total of 11 dogs today from this hoarding situation, including Daisy Doodle, her mom Ruby Rose and two female littermates. None of these dogs received any routine veterinarian care and all will need to receive vaccinations, worming, microchips, dentals, fecals, HW testing and will be altered. Please help us help Daisy Doodle, her litternates and the other precious yorkies taken in today by donating to their vetting expenses, which will be very high due to the number of dogs coming in today. No donation is too small. You can donate to any of these dogs by clicking on the Donation Button below. Thank you from Daisy Doodle, her mom and the other dogs, and especially from the folks at United Yorkie Rescue who participated in their rescue/transport and to the foster moms and dads who so eagerly stepped forward to foster these very needy little dogs.
