Hey there, I'm Melrose, a 4.5 month of Belgian Malinois mix. First off, let's get one thing out of the way...my ears. Yes they are amazing! I have a lot of other things that make me a unique dog that you would want in your family though. First of all, I'm a ton of fun. I'm lucky enough to be in a foster home with two other dogs and I do great with both. My foster parents even have friends come by with their dogs for playdates and I love everyone who walks in my door. I keep the crowd laughing with my long lanky legs and puppy antics. I love going on rides to the park or dog bakery and I'm as cool as a cucumber on car rides. Even though I love playing and adventures I'm also big on taking naps on my dog bed and snuggling. Thanks to my foster parents I'm also great in my kennel, working on new tricks, and as well socialized as a puppy could possibly be. I hope you are looking for a dog with a pair of ears like mine, and you will make me a part of your family.
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.
In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog over 4 months of age is $450.00. The $450.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Chicago area.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
