Meet Biscuit!

This handsome hunk is all hound dog, so if your looking for a fun loving, full of personality, larger then life dog, Biscuit is your boy! This boy found himself looking for a new home when his owners surrendered him because they couldn't afford to care for him and his siblings anymore due to their size.

Biscuit is your typical hound, who loves to run, play, and explore the world through his sense of smell, sight, and sound! He LOVES to be outside and enjoys rough housing with his sister and brother. Out of his siblings, he is the ringleader, and the largest one of the group. He is the size of his dad, who is known and is a mastiff/Anatolian shepherd mix. But looks a spitting image of his mom, who is a purebred redbone coonhound. His parents are dogs who both had excellent personalities so we know this guy will be a total love bug too! His dad weighed in at 125 lbs so we suspect he will top out around that once he is fully grown. He is still very much a puppy at almost 10 months old so we know he still has some growing to do!

Biscuit loves people of all ages, and genuinely believes with all his hound heart that he is a lap dog. He wants to be in your lap, or close to you as possible so that he can get lovin and attention. He especially loves ear scratches. If your not paying attention to him, he is usually trying to paw at you to get it. If you continue to ignore him, he's off to find trouble! He is still learning the boundaries of the house since he is a puppy, but for the most part he has taken to it extremely well. He is respectful of the furniture, doesn't potty indoors, and is quiet and not rambunctious when in the house. Outdoors, he is living large and loves to run, play and be in the water. He will bark at things outside of his fence line, but he isn't an aggressive dog. just a talker as per his breed!

Biscuit gets along well with dogs, though is not too familiar with the meaning of personal space. He is still learning that one! He has been around many different kinds and types of dogs and though is a little forward and sometimes controlling and demanding, is not aggressive and most of the time just wanting to play! He also doesn't mind cats however they need to be well socialized with dogs. Like most dogs, he will chase the cats if he feels he can take advantage of them, but is respectful of their space when asked by them, and especially by his owner.

Biscuit is young, but he is extremely smart, and very easy to train. He already knows several commands and is constantly looking for more things to learn. When asked in a firm tone, he is focused and quick to correct his behavior. He already knows how to sit, shake, kennel and lay down. He is fully crate trained, housebroken, and leash trained. He would make an excellent dog for anyone looking for a running, hiking, or biking partner! This guy just loves adventures!

He is fully vetted, meaning he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and current on monthly flea and heartworm preventions. For more information on how to adopt Biscuit, contact us at KMCRescue@Gmail.com.
