Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Izzy (Isabella) is looking for her perfect home! We rescued Izzy from the high kill Downey Shelter in CA, where she came in as a stray. Izzy was covered in dozens of ticks, millions of fleas, and had giardia. She was a sick girl. She’s all better now, though. We believe her to be only 4-5 months old.
Izzy has never lived in a house, but she is learning a lot with her foster Jessica! She is super energetic, and a Whirling Dervish in general. She has already learned to sit and shake! She is a very loving girl, too. She adores tormenting the other dogs in the foster home – no surprise. She is also enjoying their pool! Izzy rides fine in the car, and is doing OK with the cat in the house, too!
Here is what we will be looking for in an application for Izzy:
We would like someone with GSD experience, who knows what a GSD puppy is like, and is prepared for it. They can easily act like youngsters until they are 2 years old! Her new family should be active – she’s going to want a lot of exercise for her body AND her mind. We are going to want someone who is willing to take her to obedience training – it is a great bonding experience for the dog and you, and it will be mandatory in our contract – we want to set Izzy up for success! We also would like to find her a home where someone is home a lot of the time – so that she isn’t left alone all day. We want someone who will get her out and take her places, and socialize her! Izzy is good with dogs and cats – but she’s right in their face, like most pups! If you think you can provide a loving indoor home for Izzy you should fill out our online application to get the approval process in motion. We won’t schedule meet & greets without an approved app on file. Here’s the link:

Applicants should expect to have their vet references checked to make sure that all current and prior pets have been kept up to date on rabies and distemper, as well as an annual heartworm exam and at least 6 mos of preventative purchased during mosquito season, and that they are all spay/neutered.
